We made the short-list!

Our recent application for an Australian Ethical Community Grant has see our coal-ash campaign make the short-list!!

We're stoked to have made it this far, and with your help we could recieve $20, 000 to embark on the next leg of this campaign, and ensure coal-ash waste receives the attention it needs from our state and federal governments.

Formation of the Coal-Ash Community Alliance

Early May saw the formation of the Coal-Ash Community Alliance, a group of concerned citizens wanting to address the pollution threats to land, water and people posed by the 60 million+ tonnes of coal-ash waste, lying toxic and dormant on the shores of Lake Macquarie.

CCA will host regular meetings to address the burden of coal-ash waste being placed on the communities around the lake, and those living in close proximity to coal-ash dumps and power stations.
