EcoEarth

It's on again! In November 2007, people from around the state will gather in Newcastle to blockade the world's biggest coal port. Stay tuned for news, or contact risingtide[at]risingtide.org.au to make sure you find out when and where to come. ---------------- In February 2007, HCEC joined Rising Tide and 150 other intrepid citizens to occupy Newcastle Harbour -- the World's Biggest Coal Port. If the Newcastle Coal Infrastructure Group gets its wish, the port will export half again as much climate-changing coal, but on World Environment Day this year, people from as far away as Brisbane, Wagga and the Blue Mountains came to Newcastle to say "No New Coal: Stop Climate Chaos" for more information visit the Rising Tide website: www.risingtide.org.au ----------------- If you missed out on taking part in the first and second harbour floats, Newcastle will do it all over again on the 3rd November 2007.
